SEGi Q2 results up on better product mix

    PETALING JAYA: SEG International Bhd (SEGi) posted better revenue and net profit for the second quarter ended June 30, 2015 (Q2) on the back of better product mix and better demand for higher end programmes.
    In a filing with Bursa Malaysia yesterday, SEGi said its net profit rose 18.10% to RM7.96 million from RM6.74 million a year ago while revenue rose 5.27% to RM65.07 million from RM61.81 million a year ago.
    For the first half ended June 30, 2015 (H1) net profit grew 34.59% to RM18.78 million from RM13.95 million a year ago while revenue grew 7.38% to RM132.43 million from RM123.33 million a year ago.
    "The group launched a number of new initiatives in the last two years which have set a strong foundation for growth. With this in place, the group expects its financial performance to improve further for this and the coming years," it said.
