JOHOR BARU: Twenty-four hour express laundry self-service shops are now the target of the "dhoby gang", which is primarily active in the Skudai area, over the last two months.

Johor Baru Utara (JBU) Police District acting Chief Supt Beh Eng Lai said the four-men gang has a standard modus-operandi.
"One man stayed outside as a look-out while three others entered the shop and broke open the money boxes attached to the washing machines," he said.
He said the 'dhoby gang' involved in at least five break-ins.
He said the latest case was on Monday at Bandar Baru UDA when the shop owner discovered that two money boxes was broken into and a CCTV recorder worth RM1,000 and RM2,000 in cash, missing.
Supt Beh urged those with information to contact police at 07-5563122.
Earlier Beh witnessed a bulldozer destroy 365 units of gambling machines seized last year.
