Pahang MACC to indict six enforcement officers over bribes

    KUANTAN: The Pahang Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) will charge six enforcement officers of government agencies on Thursday with accepting and receiving bribes, state MACC director Datuk Zainul Idrus said today.
    The officers, all men aged between 20 and 50, would be charged in the Special Corruption Sessions Court, he told reporters after an MACC briefing for heads of department and community leaders as well as an Aidilfitri reception here.
    "The six participated in an operation against lorries in the Muadzam Shah-Rompin area at the end of last December and are believed to have taken bribes to the tune of RM30,000," he said. – Bernama
