Axiata unit buys Komli for US$11.25m

    PETALING JAYA: Adknowledge Asia Pacific Pte Ltd, a unit of Axiata Group Bhd is acquiring the entire issued share capital of Komli Asia Holding Pte Ltd, a digital media technology platform company, for US$11.25 million cash.
    Adknowledge is an 80% subsidiary of Axiata Digital Advertising Sdn Bhd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Axiata Digital Services Sdn Bhd which in turn is a wholly owned subsidiary of Axiata Group.
    Axiata said the acquisition is a compelling strategic opportunity for Adknowledge as it enables it to skip past the formative stage of its business plan and scale up its presence and operations in Southeast Asian region.
    “Komli Asia Group brings with it a geographically diversified revenue and provides a strong strategic fit across digital advertising verticals such as social, video, display and mobile.
    Founded in 2006, Komli specialises on digital marketing, performance advertising, social media, brand solutions and advertising, search marketing and video solutions.
