Reports on youths trespassing ex-police official's house confirmed

    SHAH ALAM: Police have confirmed receiving three reports concerning two school children who were alleged to have trespassed the home of a former senior police official with the title 'Datuk' as spread on the social media.
    Shah Alam District Police Chief ACP Shafien Mamat said one report was lodged by the 'Datuk' while another two were received from the two youths, aged 17 years last night.
    "Police have detained the two youths and investigations are being conducted under Section 448 of the Penal Code (house-trespass), Section 323 of the Penal Code (voluntarily causing hurt), and Section 39 of the Arms Act 1960.
    "Both the youths have been released after they were questioned," he said when contacted by Bernama here today.
    However, Shafien did not reveal the details of the case which was alleged to have been committed in Section 7 here on Friday.
    Shafien said he would clarify the matter in a press conference to be held at the Shah Alam District Police Headquarters tomorrow.
    According to information spread on the social media, the two youths were alleged to have entered the compounds of the house to meet the child of the former police official to revise their studies in preparation for the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examination.
    However, the two youths were alleged to have trespassed the house while they claimed that the former police senior official aimed a pistol at them after firing a shot in the air. – Bernama
