KEMAMAN: Police have confirmed that a foetus found by a teenager at a surau toilet in Durian Burung, Kuala Terengganu yesterday afternoon, is not a human embryo.
State CID chief ACP Wan Abdul Aziz Wan Hamzah said an autopsy conducted at Sultanah Nur Zahirah Hospital (HSNZ) has proven that it was a foetus of a cat.
"Initially we were informed that it is a human embryo but the autopsy report has confirmed that it is a foetus of an animal," he told reporters here today.
Yesterday, a man was surprised to discover two lumps of flesh suspected to be twin foetuses at the entrance of the surau at about 3pm.
Meanwhile, he reminded the public not to disseminate false images and information of the incident. – Bernama
