KUALA LUMPUR: The crowd presence at Masjid Negara, though initially was comparatively low compared to other gathering points of the rally, have started to build up into an estimated 1,000 people.
At 1pm, only around 100 participants clad in yellow were seen gathering in several spots around the mosque's compound.
Among the opposition leaders present here are DAP veteran Lim Kit siang and Gerakan Harapan Baru chairman Mohamad Sabu, better known as Mat Sabu.
Mat Sabu in his speech said the presence of Malaysians from different walks of life was an indication that the rakyat have had enough of the current government.
"Along with us today are people from various parties, races and religions. The whole of Malaysia is gathered here today," he said to cheers from the crowd.
Some smaller groups were seen leaving the mosque's area, as they headed towards Dataran Merdeka.
