KUALA LUMPUR: Rally-goers told theSun that they decided to participate in the Bersih 4.0 rally because they want a fair government that will represent all Malaysians.
Wilson Lim, 28, from Negeri Sembilan, told theSun that he and his friends were not afraid to join the rally, despite the warning by the authorities.
"We are not afraid at all, this is a people power movement," he said.
Another rally participant, Jenny Wong, 63, said her family were a little concerned at her decision to join in the rally.
"My son thinks that I am crazy! But I think he is just concerned about my safety," she said.
Wong said she decided to participate in the Bersih 4.0 rally to show her support for the cause of reform and change.
She said that considering the large scale of the gathering, she was also mindful of her safety, and added that she would be at Dataran Merdeka with several friends.
