KUALA LUMPUR: About 100,000 protesters have converged in front of Dataran Merdeka, where organisers are leading cheers and chants.
Several thousand protesters have sat down on the road to sing songs to drum beats and chant slogans while vuvuzela horns blare in the background.
Protesters are covering their heads with small towels, hats and caps to keep themselves sheltered from the hot sun.
