PETALING JAYA: Electoral watchdog Bersih 2.0 has urged the public to be cautious of "anti-Bersih" messages being spread from its urgent arrest lines during the Bersih 4.0 rally.
On its Facebook page, the secretariat for the two-day rally advised the public to ignore the messages sent from two of its numbers - 0183135988 and 0183907780.
"Both these numbers have been hacked by irresponsible quarters who are inciting racism.
"The public should be clear on the demands of #bersih4 and ignore any messages which are racist in nature," it said in a posting.
The two numbers were of three emergency numbers the secretariat had listed if those participating in the two-day rally were arrested.
Those arrested were to submit their names, MyKad numbers and their phone numbers as well as police station where they are arrested to allow for legal aid to be provided.
