Bersih 4: Organiser may turn to cops if anyone creates problems

KUALA LUMPUR: Organisers of the Bersih rally will request police assistance if the rally gets out of hand.
Bersih 2.0 steering committee member Thomas Fann said negotiations with the police had been made, and the authorities will deploy its team if needed.
Fann said this after a group of Bersih participants had pushed the barricade placed by the police in front of Sultan Abdul Samad building.
"I spoke to the police officer in-charge. I informed him that if things got out of hand, we would like them to help us. They said they will help and take action against those who turn violent.
"We want our Bersih rally to be peaceful and so if anyone wants to provoke an incident, we will not accept that," he said.
