Half a dozen down with food poisoning

    KUALA LUMPUR: An unwanted incident marred Bersih's 34-hour rally when six rally participants were rushed to Hospital Kuala Lumpur for suspected food poisoning.
    Bersih medical team spokesperson told reporters that about an hour ago, 13 rally-goers approached the medical team for treatment as they are experiencing some food poisoning symptoms.
    "Upon diagnosis by the doctor on duty, we decided to sent six of the victims to Hospital Kuala Lumpur for further treatment as their condition were deemed severe compared to the others.
    "Two of the victims are below the age of 10 while the other four are all adults," the spokesperson said.
    He added that the victims experienced those symptoms after consuming packet drinks that were given to them by an unknown individual.
    The incident has been reported to the organiser to which investigation are currently underway.
