Thunderstorm and winds damage 37 homes in Manjung

MANJUNG: Strong winds followed by a thunderstorm damaged 37 houses in two villages near Pantai Remis here on Sunday.
The roofs of the houses in Kampung Tersusun Bagan Panchor and Kampung Sungai Cik Rahmat Panchor were ripped off or damaged during the incident at about 4.30pm.
Some of the houses were damaged by trees and electric poles toppled by the winds which lasted for about 10 minutes.
Village headman Azizi Ahmad said the villagers had been advised to lodge police reports and that aid would be given to them soon. – Bernama
