High Court judge recused from hearing Anwar's judicial review application

KUALA LUMPUR: A High Court judge recused herself from hearing Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's (pix) judicial review application.
Anwar had filed a judicial review application against Pardon Board's decision, which rejected his family's petition for royal pardon.
High Court (Appellate and Special Powers) judge Justice Datuk Asmabi Mohamad had recused herself from hearing the judicial review today.
On Aug 17, 2015, Anwar filed an application to recuse Asmabi on the grounds that she had appeared as the Senior Federal Counsel to represent the government when he sued the then Prime Minister and the government.
