Syed Mokhtar not author of article circulated on social media, Whatsapp

KUALA LUMPUR: Corporate tycoon and Albukhary Foundation chairman Tan Sri Syed Mokhtar AlBukhary is not the author of the article, Luahan Hati Tan Sri Syed Mokhtar Bukhary Berkenaan Najib Razak that first surfaced last Saturday (Aug 29).
The Albukhary Foundation, in a statement here today, said the article had misled the public into thinking or believing it was Syed Mokhtar who had written it.
It claimed the article had gained traction, reproduced in social media sites and circulated via the Whatsapp messaging application.
"We do not condone the act of impersonating Tan Sri Syed Mokhtar, including any unlawful or unauthorised use of his name.
"To avoid doubt or confusion, the Albukhary Foundation's website continues to be the sole official public medium for Syed Mokhtar," it said, adding, "the foundation prays for the continued success and growth of Malaysia".
Two days ago, an article titled, Luahan Hati Tan Sri Syed Mokhtar Bukhary Berkenaan Najib Razak went viral in the social media including Whatsapp. – Bernama
