Zurich Insurance looks to double number of SME clients

    KUALA LUMPUR: Zurich Insurance Malaysia Bhd, which has launched a new insurance solution focusing on the small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) today, aims to double its SME clients going forward, from 20,000 customers currently.
    "Over 600,000 of business establishments in Malaysia are made out of SME businesses. That is the opportunity for us," its general insurance president David Fike told reporters after launching the insurance solution, namely Optimuz today.
    Optimuz especially tailored for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) owners, covering both general and life insurance.
    "With Optimuz, we are offering entrepreneurs the flexibility to choose their own insurance protection suitable to every stage of their business growth," Fike added.
    Optimuz comprises 11 coverage segments, which include fire, burglary, public liability and group personal accident insurance.
