Bersih 2.0, opposition using Dr M for their own gains: Tajuddin

IPOH: Umno supreme council member Datuk Seri Tajuddin Abdul Rahman said the organisers of the Bersih 4 rally and the opposition are using former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad for their own gains.
Commenting on Mahathir's presence at the two-day rally over the weekend, Tajuddin said Mahathir would regret his actions, as the opposition was taking advantage of him.
"It is a similar situation when DAP and PAS worked together to win seats but in the end it was DAP who had the upper hand ... they got Penang, won seats in Selangor and Perak," he told reporters here today.
"Mahathir is trying to mobilise the people by teaming up with the opposition after after he realised that his agenda to remove Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak does not have the backing of everyone.
Tajuddin said the former premier is not supporting DAP, Bersih or the opposition, as this is was just a problem between him and Najib.
"He should sit back and ponder whether he is doing the right thing ... Mahathir must not get involved and be used as a tool for the interest of other groups," he said.
