Guan Eng: Red shirt rally hints at violence

GEORGE TOWN: DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng said he is against the Sept 16 "red shirt" rally as he fears it might lead to violence.
The Penang Chief Minister said posters promoting the rally seem to hint at threats of violence.
"It (the rally) should not be allowed," he said at a press conference today.
Lim also took a jibe at Barisan Nasional for allowing its members to take part in the rally.
"They must be held responsible if anything happens during that day and after the rally, " he said.
The "red shirt" rally is seen as a response to the recently held Bersih 4 rally in the nation’s capital, which was deemed illegal by the police.
