Red shirt participants move towards Padang Merbok

    KUALA LUMPUR: Red shirt rally participants near Jalan Conlay and Masjid Negara has started their march to Padang Merbok, where the highlights of the rally will be held.
    The Jalan Conlay crowd, amounting to more than 5,000, started their march at 2pm sharp through Jalan Bukit Bintang, after a series of negotiation with the police.
    Some 4,000 participants near Masjid Negara made their move by 1.40pm after performing Zohor prayers.
    Several tourists and bystanders near Jalan Bukit Bintang were also seen recording the march, while several shouted and clapped as a sign of support.
    Shouts of "Hidup Melayu", "Hancur DAP" can be heard, while many were singing "Inilah Barisan Kita" as they marched.
    Earlier, chaos occurred as several participants tried to break their way through the barricade set by FRU personnel.
    However, police had manage to control the situation.
    Participants were reminded by the organisers present to not to cause any trouble and provocation before the march started.
