Four China tourists killed in crash near Yong Peng

YONG PENG: At least four tourists from China were killed in an accident involving three vehicles near Yong Peng this evening.
The accident took place at Km 94.1 of the North-South expressway at 5.15pm today.
A bus ferrying tourists from China collided with a lorry and caused the death of at least four tourists and injured 14 other tourists. Those killed died on the spot.
Another 24 people in a second bus and the lorry driver were not injured.
State Tourism, Domestic Trade and Consumerism executive committee chairman Datuk Tee Siew Kiong expressed his condolences when contacted today.
He said the Chinese embassy in Kuala Lumpur has been informed and local MCA representatives were instructed to give assistance to the victims.
The identities of the deceased could not be ascertained as press time.
