SHAH ALAM: MIC president Datuk Seri Dr S. Subramaniam said he will not endorse any candidate for the party elections next month.
"All who are contesting are my supporters, so it would be difficult for me to decide whom to endorse," he told a media conference after launching World Sight Day 2015 celebrations at Shah Alam Hospital here today.
Meanwhile, in IPOH, MIC vice-president Datuk M. Saravanan said he will contest the post of deputy president at the party elections.
"So far, I have not heard of any MIC member wanting to contest the post, which remains vacant as the deputy president has been elected president," he told a news conference after launching the Naam magazine here.
Nominations for the three vice-president and 23 Central Working Committee posts will be held on Oct 25 while polling will be carried out on Nov 6, followed by the party annual general meeting the next day at the Malaysia Agro Exposition Park in Serdang.
