PETALING JAYA: 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) is now urging Petaling Jaya MP Tony Pua to provide his so-called 'clear cut evidence' to the lawful authorities to ensure investigations can be initiated.
In the latest war of words between the two, 1MDB said that if Pua is unable to provide such evidence then he must stop making wild and unproven allegations which are deem clearly politically motivated.
"Pua had claimed that his 'expose' will provide 'clear cut evidence' of 'criminal breach of trust, abetting misappropriation and embezzlement' to the investigating authorities.
"These are serious criminal accusations, so we urge Pua to 'walk the talk' and provide his 'clear cut evidence' to the lawful authorities for further investigation," 1MDB said in a statement today.
1MDB added that they continue to work closely with National Audit Department to provide requisite information for its final report, which will be presented by year end to the bi-partisan Public Accounts Committee (PAC).
"Although the Attorney-General's Chambers (AGC), via a clear and unambiguous statement issued on Tuesday has confirmed that there has been no offence committed by 1MDB, we still maintained with our stand of if there is any evidence to show any wrongdoing action must be taken under the law," it said.
