Multi-Usage appoints UHY FLVS special auditor

PETALING JAYA: Building materials manufacturer Multi-Usage Holdings Bhd (MUH) has appointed UHY FLVS Sdn Bhd to carry out special audit on complaints filed against a number of its directors.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia yesterday, MUH said the report from the special audit is expected to be issued on the fourth week of January next year.
The complaints filed against the directors include allegation of benefit to directors from the debt-restructuring exercise, payments made to a person and companies connected to a director, benefiting from director’s position during acquisition of properties and falsification of company documents to obtain information from a third party.
It said UHY will review, request, peruse, identify all relevant supporting documents whether such documents/information are publicly available and conduct oral interviews with relevant personnel.
The auditor will also highlight anomalies identified and, from the review, carry out any other procedures and highlight any breaches of laws that may come to its attention.
MUH said it will make announcements on any material developments.
