The inaugural Asean Food Fiesta to be held at the Royale Chulan Hotel with the theme "Rice That Binds Us" will showcase the richness of Asean culinary delicacies and bring out the best of traditional rice-based dishes from 10 Asean countries.
Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, wife of Malaysian Prime Minister, will be hosting the fiesta for the Asean leaders' spouses in conjunction with the 27th Asean Summit and Related Summits this weekend.
Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development's International Relations Division Undersecretary Datin Noorazah Omar said rice, as the staple food in the Asean region, was one of the key elements that bind the member countries.
