Police dismiss rumours of children being abducted for organs

BELURAN: The police today dismissed as untrue social media news of children being abducted here for extraction of their internal organs.
Beluran Police chief Supt Sivanatan Velautham said the circulation of such news was not only causing the people to panic but raising poor perception of the security forces.
He told Bernama the people in the district should not fall prey easily to rumours spread over the social media.
The police were always on the alert and investigated any report, he said. — Bernama
