KUALA LUMPUR: Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar has ordered his men to track down a Facebook user for sedition after the latter allegedly published a post linking Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak and his wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor to several high profile crime cases.
Khalid who posted a screenshot of the post on his Twitter account, instructed the Police Cyber Investigation Response Centre (PCIRC) to detain the user, who goes by the name 'Faisal Bin Rohban'.
Faisal's initial posting was allegedly written to imply that Najib and Rosmah were involved in several murder cases, including that of Altantuya Shaariibuu.
The post has since been edited, with Faisal stating that his original post might have misled people.
The new post states that since Najib became Deputy Prime Minister, he and his wife have become "victims", accused of involvement in cases including the murder of Deputy Public Prosecutor Kevin Morais.
Following Khalid's tweet, Faisal uploaded another status saying he takes full responsibility for the post.
He also claimed that he has been warded since yesterday morning for a heart related ailment, adding that he would get in touch with police once released from the hospital.
