Bank Negara launches three new mobile apps

    PETALING JAYA: Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) has introduced three new mobile applications to help consumers in making informed financial decisions. The mobile apps are MyBNM, BNM MyLINK and MyTabung.
    In a statement yesterday, BNM said the development of mobile applications was aimed to equip wider segments of the population with the necessary knowledge, skills and tools to make smart and prudent financial decisions by leveraging on the advancement in technology.
    MyBNM allows consumers to keep abreast with the latest financial news including announcements, speeches, interviews, releases, fraud alerts, and foreign exchange rates, among others.
    Consumers will also receive updates on monetary and financial policies via the app.
    MyLINK provides a direct interface between consumers and financial service providers. The app offers a directory of conventional and Islamic banking, insurance and takaful companies as well as small medium enterprises (SMEs) and allows users to get in touch with the companies.
    MyTabung offers a budgeting tool that allows users to capture incomes, savings, and recurring expenses with an on-the-spot display of the user’s financial standing and spending patterns.
    The mobile apps are available in both Bahasa Malaysia and English. It can be downloaded for free from Apple’s App Store and Google’s Play Store.
