Fake Selangorkini distributed at PKR Congress

SHAH ALAM: Fake copies of Selangorkini were distributed at the PKR 11th National Congress, attacking Selangor Mentri Besar Mohamed Azmin Ali.
The eight-page copy carried some news titles on several issues detrimental towards the administration of the Selangor government, such as the increase of water tariff and the Darul Ehsan Investment Group controversy.
One of the content in the copy even featured an article bearing the byline of former Selangor Mentri Besar Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim.
The issue was brought to the congress's stage, where party vice-president Shamsul Iskandar Akin said the fake copies were the work of Umno and Barisan Nasional.
"The front page is okay, the back page is okay, but the content is useless. I congratulate our officials for confiscating the copies from being further distributed," he said in his winding up speech.
"Such action indicated that our party is getting stronger. We will defeat Umno and Barisan Nasional in the next general election," he added.
