3 kids missing after falling into river

    KUALA LUMPUR: Three children were feared drowned in Sungai Kuyoh near to a military camp at Sungai Besi here yesterday.
    In the 6.30pm incident, the three children aged 10, 12 and 14 went out for fishing and swimming with five other friends at the bank river before they fell and drowned.
    Four of them fell into the river earlier but one was saved by others before he could be swept away by the current.
    One of the fathers said he was on duty at the camp when a friend called and informed him about the incident.
    The father was told that two of his children have left the house to go to the river without the permission of his wife.
    However, one of his children,13 was saved by other kids while his 12-year-old son is still missing as of 10pm.
    Meanwhile, Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue Department chief operations officer Samsol Maarif Saibani said the department received a distress call at about 6.15pm before despatched a team of personnel to rescue them.
    The search areas have been expanded until Sungai Kuyoh, Sungai Kerayong, The Mines lake and Sungai Raya Permai.
