KUALA LUMPUR: 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) president Arul Kanda Kandasamy will be called to appear before the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) again on Dec 18 at 9am.
PAC chairman Datuk Hasan Arifin said although the committee was satisfied with the proceeding, it still needs more details on the state-firm's administration from Arul.
"The proceeding was good. Arul managed to give full cooperation and provide good answer to us," he said.
"However we have to call him again to get some more information so that the proceeding will be fair and we can present good report to the Parliament," he told reporters when met after the PAC meeting.
In today's proceedings, Arul was questioned for more than three hours by PAC on issues related to 1MDB.
Hasan said the PAC is relieved to know that 1MDB is dealing and investing with reputable foreign companies.
Meanwhile, Arul, when met after the meeting, thanked the PAC for giving him the opportunity to provide his side of the story.
He added he was asked many questions on the 1MDB management, but could not reveal it publicly as it was confidential.
"What's important is that we have provided full cooperation to PAC and will continue to do so (in the next proceeding)," he said.
He said he has a very clear commitment on issues related to 1MDB and welcomed the opportunity presented by the PAC to attend the proceeding.
"The opportunity given to us is something we welcome and we managed to answer all of the questions to the best of our ability," he said.
