KOTA KINABALU: DAP leader Lim Kit Siang should sue Penang chief minister's former special officer Mohamed Razali Abd Rahman who alleged DAP of being offered RM1.2 billion in return for an Israeli military base in Malaysia, if the opposition managed to capture Putrajaya in the last general election.
Pro-Barisan Nasional NGOs Coalition (Pro-BN) president, Zulkarnain Mahdar said DAP should not be suing PAS research director Dr Mohd Zuhdi Marzuki because Mohd Zuhdi's claim referred to Mohamed Razali's statement made four years ago.
"Lim Kit Siang and DAP should be suing Mohamed Razali and make a police report against him for libel instead of asking for proof from Pro-BN and Mohd Zuhdi," he said in a statement today.
Zulkarnain said Pro-BN had lodged a police report against DAP after learning about the disclosure made by Mohd Zuhdi regarding the RM1.2 billion bid and construction of an Israeli military camp if DAP managed to capture Putrajaya in the last general election.
He said Pro-BN was confident that Mohamed Razali had a basis to support his allegation against DAP.
Yesterday, a news portal reported that Lim, who is also Gelang Patah member of Parliament, would sue "a senior political leader" for defamation over the allegation. – Bernama
