ROWAN Atkinson (pix) has reportedly paid out £16,000 (RM101,725) to help kick-start his daughter's music career.
The 60-year-old actor - who has a net worth of an estimated £130 million - is keen to help Lily, 20, make it as a pop star and has already shed out £10,000 to fund her music video as well as a further £6,000 for photoshoots and lessons.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Lily's dream since she was small was to be a singer and now she's getting help realising that dream. She's performed a few gigs in a cabaret style and really enjoyed them.
"Her parents both come from showbusiness backgrounds so they are fully supportive of her. She's had cabaret training and really hopes to make a breakthrough this year."
Meanwhile, there's no doubt it's been a expensive few years for the British comedian as he was granted a divorce from his wife of 24 years Sunetra Sastry - with whom he has Lily and son Ben, 22 - in November last year.
The couple - who split in 2014 - met in the 1980s when she was working as a BBC make-up artist and he was one of the corporation's main comedy stars. They went on to tie the knot in 1990 and were planning to build an £11 million home in Oxfordshire when they split two years ago. – Bang Media
