Selangor Sultan presents letter of appointment to new state secretary

SHAH ALAM: Sultan Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah today presented the letter of appointment to the new State Secretary Datuk Mohamad Amin Ahmad Ahya in a ceremony at Istana Bukit Kayangan here.
Mohamad Amin, 55, replaces Datuk Setia Mohamad Khusrin Munawi who retired on Jan 3.
Also receiving their letters of appointment from the Sultan were Dr Anhar Opir who was appointed as the new Deputy Mufti of Selangor effective Jan 1 and Tengku Mohamed Tengku Harun as Engku Penggawa Muda Paduka Maha Bijaya Kuala Langat.
Anhar, 40, replaces Datuk Abdul Majid Omar, who resigned due to health reason, while Tengku Mohamed, 60, replaces Raja Datuk Uzair Tengku Zainon Rashid Shah who also resigned due to health factor.
The Sultan also presented the letters of appointment of the Chairman and five Registrars of Marriage, Divorce and Reconciliation of Muslims.
The ceremony was also attended by Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali and Mufti Datuk Mohd Tamyes Abd Wahid. — Bernama
