Temerloh MP retracts slanderous statement against Guan Eng

    GEORGE TOWN: Temerloh MP Nasruddin Hassan Tantawi has retracted his purportedly slanderous statement on alleged undersea tunnel project against Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng.
    He was ordered by the High Court to pay RM10,000 in costs.
    The PAS information chief has withdrew the statement he made on his social media account on Aug 6, 2014 and expressed regret over the cause of misunderstanding towards Lim.
    "I decided to withdraw the article made as both sides do not want to prolong the case, " he said when reading out his statement in court.
    Lim was represented by Datuk Murali Navaratnam while Nasruddin represented by Wan Rohimi Wan Daud.
    Judicial Commissioner Lim Chong Fong presided the case.
