PETALING JAYA: Johor Crown Prince Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim (pix) has advised the government to remove certain ministers who are considered a "joke" from their respective posts, while expressing his concern about the political scenario in the country.
In a post on his Johor Southern Tigers Facebook page on Jan 30, Tunku Ismail said the country needed intelligent ministers who can serve the people, and not to serve their own pockets.
"As my humble advice for the Government, the first step in trying to improve the system is by removing the few ministers who are considered a joke.
"I pray that our political situation and the education system will improve for the benefit of the people," he said in a post titled 'National Politics, FAM, and Football Matters'.
Tunku Ismail acknowledged there were some parties that are trying to keep him quiet, but said being in his position, it was his responsibility to voice out his genuine opinions for the betterment of the state and the nation.
He said voicing out his opinions was not to create any tension with the government but with the intention to work together to make Malaysia a better place.
"I am not a politician and I do not need votes. I am just a prince who loves his people and whatever I say or do, is for everyone's well-being.
"When I voice out about politics, you have to understand that it is never about me. It is never personal. It is always for the people," he said.
"I cannot deny the fact that I'm extremely concerned about the political situation in this country. The people have to get involved to make this country a better place for our future generations," he added.
