Zuraida puzzled over Sarawak ban

SHAH ALAM: PKR women's chief Zuraida Kamaruddin said she was puzzled over the decision of the Sarawak state government to bar her from entering the state recently.
"I am not a terrorist, I am not a racist. Therefore, why was I not allowed to enter Sarawak?
"There was no reason given. They should have come out with an official statement on why I was not allowed entry," she told reporters at the launching of the #heforshe campaign at the DePalma Hotel here today.
Zuraida was denied entry by state authorities at the Kuching International Airport last Friday.
She was supposed to meet six women, potential candidates to contest under the PKR ticket in the upcoming Sarawak state elections.
Zuraida said she was also barred from entering Sarawak in 2014.
She said she had already sent a letter to Sarawak Chief Minister Tan Sri Adenan Satem on the issue, but has yet to receive a response.
Zuraida said the restriction imposed on her might be related to her vocal stance in fighting for issues related to Sarawakians.
