Additional waste disposal in Kedah and Perlis for CNY

ALOR SETAR: Solid waste management and public cleansing services provider, Environment Idaman Sdn Bhd (Envi), will carry out additional scheduled collection of solid waste in Kedah and Perlis, in conjunction with the Chinese New Year (CNY) celebration.
Its chief executive officer, Mhd Saiful Anuar Zainal said the additional operations which started on Feb 2 would go on until Feb 19.
"This is to cope with the expected increase in solid waste during the Chinese New Year period, just like during the other major celebrations in the country.
"Fifteen excavators and 43 lorries will be used to carry out the solid waste disposal and cleansing operations," he said in a statement, here, yesterday.
"We ask that all residents make use of the facilities provided to ensure a clean environment," he added. — Bernama
