Denied pay, Myanmar national attempts suicide

PETALING JAYA: Frustrated at being denied his salary, a Myanmar national attempted suicide by slashing his neck with a shard of glass.
Petaling Jaya police chief ACP Mohd Zani Che Din said the victim, identified as 24-year-old Kyaw Lin Htike, was found near a gym in Mutiara Damansara at about 7.30pm on Tuesday.
"According to our investigations, the foreign worker was frustrated that his employer was reluctant to pay his salary.
"A doctor who happened to be at the scene attended to him and the man was sent to the Sungai Buloh Hospital," he said.
Mohd Zani added that the victim is in stable condition.
