Adenan Satem made honourary Brigadier General

KUCHING: The Malaysian Armed Forces Council today conferred the rank of honourary Brigadier General of the Territorial Army on Sarawak Chief Minister Tan Sri Adenan Satem.
The council also appointed Adenan as the patron of the Sarawak All-Malaysia Territorial Army Supporters Committee.
Defence Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein performed the pinning of the rank at a ceremony at the Office of the Chief Minister at Wisma Bapa Malaysia in Petra Jaya here.
Deputy Defence Minister Datuk Wira Mohd Johari Baharum, Defence Ministry secretary-general Datuk Seri Abdul Rahim Mohd Radzi, Chief of Defence Forces Gen Tan Sri Dr Zulkifeli Mohd Zin and Chief of Army Gen Tan Sri Raja Mohamed Affandi Raja Mohamed Noor also attended the ceremony. — Bernama
