TM to grow revenue by up to 3.5% this year

KUALA LUMPUR: Telekom Malaysia Bhd (TM) aims to grow its revenue by 3%-3.5% for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2016 (FY16) and 3.5%-4% for FY18.
Group CEO Tan Sri Zamzamzairani Mohd Isa said the higher target for 2018 will be driven by its aggressive roll-out of HSBB and SUBB services this year, which will lead to wider coverage.
"There is also this trend where demand for bandwidth has grown," he told reporters at a briefing today.
The group has allocated higher capital expenditure for FY16, at 25-30% of revenue compared with RM2.5 billion or 21.4% of revenue for FY15.
