KUALA LUMPUR: RGB International Bhd, which sold 1,230 gaming machines last year, is aiming to sell 1,200-1,300 units this financial year ending Dec 31, 2016 (FY16).
Total sales last year was 15% less than the 1,450 sold in FY14. Of the 1,230 sold last year, 80% were replacement machines while 20% were new machines.
COO Datuk Steven Lim said it is focusing more on the replacement market especially in the Philippines where the gaming market is very competitive.
"In competitive markets, the operators tend to change machines more frequently," he said at an analyst briefing today.
The group's capital expenditure is RM15 million to RM18 million per year, for upgrading of machines as well as research and development.
