Zazali is new KL police CPCSD chief

KUALA LUMPUR: Former assistant director for General Policing in the Crime Prevention and Community Safety Department (CPCSD), Bukit Aman, SAC Zazali Hashim has been appointed as Kuala Lumpur police CPCSD chief, effective today.
Zazali who was recently promoted to the rank of SAC, replaces SAC Abdul Razak Abdul Majid who will go on compulsory retirement from March 20.
The handing-over of duty today was witnessed by Kuala Lumpur police deputy chief Datuk Abdul Hamid Mohd Ali at the contingent headquarters, here.
In his speech, Abdul Hamid said Kuala Lumpur police thanked Abdul Razak for his services and contributions while heading their CPCSD since July last year.
He said although it was for a short while, Abdul Razak had implemented many crime-prevention programmes.
In welcoming Zazali, Abdul Hamid said he believed that with the former's presence, Kuala Lumpur police would continue to move forward. — Bernama
