3 suspects shot dead by Johor Police after high-speed chase

    JOHOR BARU: Three suspects were shot dead by police after a 4km high-speed chase in Permas Jaya today evening.
    Johor police chief Comm Datuk Wan Ahmad Najmuddin Mohd said the trio were targeting users of ATMs at nearby banks about 6pm.
    He said police acting on a tip-off arrived at the scene but the suspects fled.
    A high-speed chase involving two patrol cars began at Jalan Permas 1.
    One of the suspects started firing at the police car, thus forcing cops to open fire.
    The suspects' car stopped at Jalan Permas Utara.
    "Two suspects died on the spot, while the other died on the way to hospital," Wan Ahmad Najmuddin told reporters.
    The trio are believed to be aged 22 to 25.
    Two pistols were found in the suspects' car.
    Initial investigations showed the car was reported missing in Bukit Indah, Skudai.
