MACC to introduce anti-graft module in IPTs

KUANTAN: The Malaysian Anti Corruption Commission will collaborate with the Higher Education Ministry to introduce anti-corruption modules for students in higher learning institutions (IPT).
Deputy Chief Commissioner (Prevention) Datuk Seri Mustafar Ali said the move is a long-term effort to curb corruption by MACC with involvement from all levels of society.
"The module related to the prevention of corruption is taught to Sixth Form students through the General Paper, but at the IPT level either in the public universities or private institutions, they still do not have the module," he told a press conference after attending the MACC strategic partnership programme in collaboration with Kuantan Municipal Council here today.
He hoped it can be used as a module, especially for final year students who will be entering the workforce to have the graft-free mentality, to work free of corruption and champion anti-corruption.
Mustafar said the fight against corruption by bringing MACC closer to the people is also intensified via MACC.FM radio to provide information, facts and explanations on the independent body.
