GEORGE TOWN: Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng has hit out at Sarawak Chief Minister Tan Sri Adenan Satem over the latter's call for him and DAP's Lim Kit Siang to behave themselves or risk leaving the state.
He said this was a politically motivated move by Adenan to create fear amongst the people in Sarawak during the state elections campaigning period.
He questioned the first-term chief minister on why such move was generated as he felt those opposition members barred did no wrong.
"Who is he (Adenan) to determine our behaviour," he said after attending Penang Youth Development Council's Northeast district basketball tournament at Lebuh Acheh.
He asked Adenan to battle gentlemanly in a fair manner instead of warning them of behaving themselves.
He said such move has more or less derail DAP's campaign in the state election but they would raring to fight till the end.
He also called Adenan to give examples of any alledged wrongdoing by opposition leaders, adding that there was no need to have an election if this continues.
Lim, however, remained mum on whether he will be barred from entering Sarawak as he is slated to go into the state tomorrow evening.
"Let us see tomorrow," the DAP secretary-general added.
