Malacca United goalkeeper dies 21 days lightning strike

    MALACCA: Malacca United reserve goalkeeper Marco Stefan Petrovski, who was in a coma after being struck by lightning, died at the Putra Specialist Hospital here, today.
    Chief executive officer of Putra Specialist Hospital, Datuk Radhuana Salleh said Petrovski died at about 4pm, after 21 days of treatment at the hospital.
    The remains of the 18 year-old naturalised player was taken to Malacca Hospital for a post-mortem.
    "Petrovski was dependent on a respirator since he was admitted to Putra Specialist Hospital on April 11," he told reporters here, today.
    The remains of Petrovski arrived at Malacca Hospital at about 6.50pm.
    Petrovski was struck by lightning after a team training session in Krubong, near Hang Jebat Stadium at about 5 pm on April 5. — Bernama
