Man stabs adopted brother to death in Menggatal

KOTA KINABALU: A 19-year-old youth died after he was stabbed by an adopted brother in Kampung Rampayan, Manggatal, near here, last night.
Kota Kinabalu City Police chief ACP M. Chandra said the victim and the suspect, 37, were sleeping in the living room of the unnumbered house belonging to a couple with two children, when the incident took place at 11.30pm.
"The house owner was roused from sleep by loud noises in the living room. He saw the suspect holding a knife and the bloodied body of the youth was sprawled in the kitchen area nearby.
"He grabbed the suspect and managed to hold him captive with the help of neighbours. Police seized a 30cm knife while the body was sent to Queen Elizabeth Hospital," he added. — Bernama
