WASHINGTON: US President Barack Obama will travel to Ottawa next month for a "Three Amigos" North American summit with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto, the White House said Wednesday.
The White House said Obama will also address a joint session of parliament while in the Canadian capital for the June 29 summit.
"The summit is further recognition of the value of a more integrated North America to advance the security and prosperity of the continent," a White House statement said.
"It also highlights the importance of continuing to strengthen the bilateral and trilateral ties between United States, Canada, and Mexico."
