For the enlightened consumer

VISITORS enjoyed a moment of enlightenment at the Philips Lighting Eco-Sphere event at Sunway Pyramid Mall recently.
Built with the purpose of engaging the consumers’ mind, the Eco-Sphere featured a space created by Philips Lighting, a Royal Philips company, to promote its lighting energy efficiency and showcase its LED lighting products and systems for day-today settings.
The Eco-Sphere displayed systems for different areas of the home, including the bedroom, living room, kitchen and the outdoors, along with lighting for the office environment. These LED lighting systems included products using SMART technology that allows consumers to make adjustments to lighting intensity and hue to influence the ambience.
MANAGE THE AMBIENCE WITH A SWITCH
One such product displayed at the Eco-Sphere was the SceneSwitch LED bulb series. Combining three light settings into one light, SceneSwitch can alternate the ambience from bright light, to natural light or cosy warm glow, with no need for the installation of a dimmer. All three pre-set lighting effects can be commanded with just the existing light switch in the home.
“As a leader in lighting, one of the things that has helped us develop meaningful innovations is that we understand how lighting affects people,” said Philips Malaysia commercial leader for lighting Alok Ghose.
“In innovating and developing, we do not focus on one single product, but how various products can work together as a system. In doing so, we are able to develop products and systems for various environments,” he added.
SET THE MOOD, ESTABLISH THE PACE
As was proven at Philips Eco-Sphere event, lighting can impact moods and productivity levels. Philips’ durable connected LED lighting range of products also reduce electricity consumption by 80%.
“We want to give consumers more ideas and insights into the benefits of light beyond illumination. We want them to benefit from new lighting experiences and ambience settings that can make a positive impact on what they do at work or leisure,” highlighted Ghose.
He explained that for Philips, lighting does not just stop at giving illumination to help us see.
Philips is offering consumers a chance to win a brand new Honda City.
