KUDAT: The search for a boat with four people on board missing since Monday off Kudat in Sabah entered the fourth day today.
The Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (Maritime Malaysia) rushed a boat to the Balabac waters off Kudat at about 6am after a public tip-off on an object there, but found nothing.
This was disclosed by Kota Kinabalu Maritime Malaysia director First Admiral (Maritime) Adam Aziz.
Maritime Malaysia was also conducting the search in Simpang Mengayau and Batuan Mandi, and had brought along a medical team from Likas Hospital, he said when contacted.
The aerial and sea search is being conducted by Maritime Malaysia, the Royal Malaysian Navy and Royal Malaysian Air Force.
The boat carrying the four people - Spanish nationals David Hernandes Gasulla, 29, and Martha Miguel, 30, Chinese national Tommy Lam Lai Yin, 44, and a Malaysian woman identified only as Ella, 23 - did not arrive at Tanjung Simpang Mengayau as scheduled after having left Kampung Batu Sirih, Pulau Balambangan, at about 5.30pm on Monday. — Bernama
